Consultant

Position Description:

The consultant functions as an integral member of a project team which consists of both junior-level analysts and senior members of the firm. The consultant, while reporting to the project manager will be expected to:

  • Coordinate research efforts including interviews with relevant thought leaders and key client management
  • Lead development of analytical frameworks and selection of analytical tools
  • Manage efforts of analysts assigned to the project team
  • Synthesize research and analyses into meaningful conclusions and recommendations for the client
  • Assist in developing client reports and presenting recommendations to clients
  • Contribute to practice development initiatives including proposals and thought leadership

Qualifications:

  • MBA from a top tier institution; non-MBA candidates with significant, relevant work experience and skill sets similar to an MBA graduate may also be considered.
  • Life science undergraduate degree desirable but not required
  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industries desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and creativity
  • Comfort level with flexible work load and task intensity
  • Good listening skills and team orientation

Analyst

Position Description:

The analyst functions as an integral member of the project team, ranging from the research of relevant issues to participation in the development of solutions.

Analysts will be expected to:

  • Conduct primary and secondary research through phone interviews, in-person interviews, literature review and on-line querying of relevant databases
  • Participate in development of analytical frameworks and selection of analytical tools
  • Assist in synthesizing research and analyses into meaningful conclusions and recommendations for the client
  • Assist in development and production of client reports and presentation materials

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree — life science concentration desirable but not required
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and creativity
  • Comfort level with flexible work load and task intensity
  • Good listening skills and team orientation
  • Proficiency in using common PC-based software applications (e.g. word processing, spreadsheet, database, graphics, etc.)
